Emilie Johnson joins TEAM USA!

Emilie Johnson's hard work has paid off. Emilie will play for the U.S. women’s basketball team in the tournament held Oct. 21-25 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The squad will start training in Houston on Oct. 15.

Women's Basketball Host Annual Fastbreakers Tip-OFF BBQ

With a few new players and coaching staff the Gauchos were excited to spend time with the Fastbreakers Sunday afternoon at Goleta Beach. After eating some really good BBQ the 2011-2012 Women's Basketball team was introduced. Then Head Coach, Carlene Mitchell, gave some insight into first week of practice and the GAUCHO philosophy!

WBB Office Has A New Look!!!!

The Women's Basketball office is getting a NEW LOOK! The upgrade includes state of the art graphics that showcase the NCAA Appearances, Big West Championships and WNBA players. More pictures to come once the project is complete! GO GAUCHOS!

Gauchos Night Out!!!

This past Friday the Gauchos took their game to Zodo's! It was a competitive yet fun night full of strikes, spares and gutter balls!!!

UCSB Women's Basketball supports Fragile X Benefit

The women's basketball team and coaching staff volunteered this past Saturday at the Fragile X basketball tournament. The tournament was a benefit to raise awareness about Fragile X which is the single known common gene that causes Autism.

Coach French to be inducted into the UCSB Hall Of Fame!!!

GAUCHOS IN THE COMMUNITY!!!

The past few weeks the UCSB Women's Basketball Team has been giving back to the community. The team went to the YMCA in Montecito, the Maravilla Retirement Home and spent time teaching basketball skills to the kids in the A-OK Youth Program at Cleveland School.
